Board Member and World Show Coordinator Vivien Van Buren is interested in all breeds of horses. She has a 31 year old saddlebred, Sara, who she had since Sara was 6 years old who Vivien trail rode and foxhunted, a 16 year old paint horse, Gunner, who she did western dressage on and trail rode. Her current mounts are a 19 year old draft/ thoroughbred cross, Manolo, who she fox hunts and an 8 year old registered quarter horse, Always For The Best barn name Edward, who is her Western Dressage and trail horse. She was a consultant at the Colorado Horse Park from 1997 – 2018. She was the Show Manager for their Western Dressage Shows in 2017 and 2018 that were USEF Licensed as well as WDAA Recognized and WDACO Approved. Vivien was also the Show Manager for USEA, USEF and FEI Licensed Horse Trials and 3 Day Events from 2013 – 2017. She was also Manager of Education and ran clinics in Western Dressage with Joane Coy, in Eventing with David O’Connor, Karen O’Connor, Peter Gray, etc., Dressage Symposiums with Steffan Peters, Scott Hassler, Michael Klimke, etc., Hunter/Jumper clinics including Emerging Athletes Clinics with Julie Winkel and USEA Eventing Instructor Certification Clinics with Brian Sabo. Vivien was on the Board of Directors of Bijou Spring Hunt from 2007 -2017 and the Douglas/Elbert County Horse Council from 2009 – 2015. Currently, Vivien is on the Executive Board of Directors of the Colorado Horse Council, and is Committee Chair for the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo. It is all about the welfare and heritage of the horse. She is also a FEI Level 1 Eventing Steward, USEF Certified Show Manager specializing in Western Dressage and Eventing, and a horse show announcer. She is honored to be on the Board of WDAA. |
